I had grade 3c fallopian tube cancer 6 years ago had a radical hysterectomy etc , chemo and was signed off last October after 5 years. About 8 weeks ago I started with a discharge because there was a little blood I was put on the 2 week referral ,from there Ive had an ultrasound internal , CT scan etc.
Ive seen a surgeon there are two small areas in the abdomen one around 2 ins the other less than an inch ,he is happy to operate and remove but its likely I will have a stoma, obviously I was shocked having gone all this time. I am having a lymph node biopsy in the groin on Wednesday and next week another CT scan before I see the surgeon again. He has pencilled me in for the operation on the 11th of April which I am dreading feels like Im on the merry go round all over again .
Hi Dashmisty26 and a warm welcome to the Online Community. I'm sorry to read that you're back on the merry go round after 5 years and having to have an operation in April. I can imagine the anxiety you're going through.
I've a different type of cancer (Womb) so I can't really offer any advice but I'm sure the ladies here will be along soon to offer support.
It’s always helpful to others if you write a little something (or a lot) about yourself and your journey to date. You can enter it into your profile (click on your username and select “Profile”) It’s helpful to other members with a similar diagnosis who can then hopefully answer your questions. It also means that you don't have to keep writing the same thing over and over. You can amend or update it at any time.
Macmillan Support Services also offer lots of information, support, financial guidance or just someone to listen. It’s free to call 0808 808 0000.
