Just wondered if anyone has had the Covid vaccine yet? I've been told by my CNS that I can have it but going to ask my consultant too when I next speak to her. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 high serous ovarian cancer in January this year, finished chemotherapy (carboplatin) in July. Am looking at heading back to work next week but work in a hospital so scared, even though things have been put in place for me to protect me as much as possible. Wish you all a happy Christmas and hope and pray that 2021 is a better year for us all xx
Hi
I've had a look through the group but can't see any posts where anyone has mentioned having the Covid vaccine yet. Just 'bumping' your post back to the top of the discussions list so it's more visible.

I had the first injection dose of Covid vaccine yesterday 30/12/20, I checked with my CNS at hospital and also with doctors at vaccine centre and all said the consensus is that vaccine shouldn’t effect me as a cancer patient or my treatments. I am due to start carbo/taxol chemotherapy on 12th of January 2021 but obviously 2nd dose of Covid due on 20th January. So keeping my fingers crossed it doesn’t effect or any counter actions.
hope going back to work wasn’t too stressful for you in the end and let’s hope 2021 brings better days for all of us.
yes I'm wondering that too, i've just had my first week of chemo last week and what an awful week it was I am glad now being in week 2 is less sicky and I can actually DO things!
