I have been on Niraparib for 6 weeks, (2nd week off due to low haemoglobin) my CA125 has kept increasing, now at 508 (it was 150 when I started the parp)  I asked for a CTscan and was told that it is not due until cycle 6 and to continue on the tablets as all my bloods were good, as I am not symptomatic and not having adverse side effects from the Niraparib I am happy to continue, however my blood pressure is over 150 so don't want to keep taking it if its not working. I was told its early days but surly it would be stopping my CA125 rising if it was working. I am BRCA negative.

Have you taken Niraparib and its taken a while to show good results?

  • Hi

I haven't taken this drug but I noticed that your post hadn't had any response so far. This could be because it's fallen off the first page so by replying to you it will bump it back to the top of the page where it'll be more easily seen.

I typed 'niraparib' into the search bar in this group and found a few previous posts mentioning it. If you haven't already done that you could take a look and respond to anyone who you think might be able to help you further.

Hi lyn1987, I have been on Niraparib for almost a year.  I have been stable.  My CA125 has remained stable.  My blood pressure did go up a bit and they put me on additional medication.for that.  I am BRCA positive. I hope Niraparib does help you.
