My wife recently been diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer went for op first but they could not do anything as it had spread to colon, small bowel and lymph node on chest got first chemo on Tuesday understandably nervous she is also type 1 diabetic and I have suffered a stroke now she knows the stage although being nervous she is more positive.
Hello, I am sorry to hear about your wife and that you are also coping with having had a stroke. I was in the same position where they did not operate on me. I was diagnosed at stage 4 , high grade serous, a year ago and I am doing well. There is a lot of research going on just now and people are living a lot longer than they were told to expect so please tell your wife not to despair. Please read my profile under "short friend" and if your wife wishes to know more or needs support I am happy to be messaged. being positive definitely helps and to be anxious or have low days is perfectly normal for all of us. I hope you are able to have a stress free and peaceful Christmas. The other forum which is just for people with ovarian cancer you can find under "health unlocked " where you will find a lot of support and people sharing ideas and experiences.
Please let me know how you get on.
Love Pat x
