Hi everyone,
my 6 chemo sessions have been very successful and I am having a laparoscopy on Monday to see if I am suitable for debulking surgery which is very positive as I was originally told they couldn't do it. Has anyone had experience of it this way round. ie. surgery after chemo. thanks in advance as feeling quite apprehensive.
Hi and welcome to the group
Although I'm not a member, so don't have the experience you're looking for, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies.
I'm glad to hear that your chemo has been very successful and hopefully you've been told that you are suitable for surgery after the laparoscopy you had yesterday. If you've got any questions around the procedure you could post them in the ask a nurse section and one of the specialist nurses will respond within 2 working days.
Wishing you all the best

hi
i am now 3 weeks post surgery. it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The first 3 days was a bit rough but i was home on day 5 and came on leaps and. bounds once i got home. I had no complications or bleeding post surgery and my scar is from breasts to vagina, but it has healed nicely and it’s only a thin line ( nothing like i expected - i was thinking more like a shark attack - but it looks good. in my opinion the chemo was far worse. good luck. xx
