Hi
My mum has Ovarian Cancer, diagnosed Oct 17. She was on Taxol/Carbo for eight rounds (I think), but in about round 5 Avastin was added to the treatment. After 4 rounds of both, she was taken off Taxol/Carbo and has remained on Avastin ever since (I think we're at about 18 treatments).
She had a really good report last time we saw her consultant, as he said everything was shrinking, and her CA125 restults are good. However, over the last 4-6 weeks, she's really gone down hill.
She has a scan booked for this weekend, but has anyone any knowledge of avastin causing issues after treatment this long?
Thanks.
