Hi my beautiful 24 year old has just been diagnosed
we have the surgery which is very radical booked for the 4th- has any any experience of this type of cancer
Hi
I'm sorry to hear that your daughter has been diagnosed with serous ovarian cancer. It must have been a great shock to you both.
My cancer was not this type so I don't have any experience of this surgery to draw on. However, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies and by responding to you it will bump it back to the top of the page where hopefully it'll be seen by someone who has had this experience.
I realise that this is no substitute to a real experience but I have found this information for you about surgery for ovarian cancer. If you don't get any replies here you could post your question about the surgery in ask a nurse and one of the cancer nurses will aim to respond within 2 working days.
When you feel up to it, it would be really useful if could pop some details about your daughter's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Sending a supportive ((hug))
