I am 69 and was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in October 2017. I had six months of taxol/carboplaytin and got the all clear, but after six months the cancer recurred. I had three cycles of caelyx which had no affect and was changed to taxol only every week for eighteen weeks.
Mid treatment an enhanced ct scan showed that my cancer had shrunk. I was so surprised and happy that I didn’t question anything. On Tuesday I return for the results of my latest scan which is at the eighteenth treatment and I am making a list if questions which will cover both good and bad news. I would be grateful for any suggestions.
What stage was your cancer?
Everyone is individual in what they want to know I suppose, And it would depend on the latest scan results. Good luck though for tomorrow, I hope it's the best news possible Please let us know what happens, sorry I can't be anymore help, I have my first oncology app after my treatment ended 11 weeks ago next Tuesday, and have no questions really until I know what the bloods show, there's only so much I want to know anyway. X
