I'm 40 years old and recently diagnosed with rare mucinous ovarian carcinoma stage 1A Grade 3, expansile subtype. After successful total histerectomy, doctors opinions are divided about advising chemotherapy and I must make a decision as soon as possible, as I've done the first cycle (Oxaliplatin and Capecitabin). Can you shed a light on whether I should continue chemotherapy treatment? Many thanks. Claudia

Hi Claudia, very sorry to hear your news, and hope you are doing ok.  I don’t know much about your type of OC as it is a rare one as you say.  I would pop onto the ovacome forum (or give their nurse a call) , there are a number of mucinous ladies on there, so hopefully they will be able to give you advice.

ovacome is here https://www.ovacome.org.uk/ and the link to the forum is at the bottom.  I know not many women with stage 1a do have chemo but appreciate your type may be different (& I know the chemo is different).

wishing you all the very best xxx
