Had a hysterectomy 10 years ago for grade 1 tumours on ovary and in uterus.  Needed no further treatment after the op apart from check ups for 5 years.  Recently had gallbladder removed which showed signs of gynaelogical cancer Told this is very rare non-invasive serous implants/serous borderline changes. Totally at a loss as there seems to be no info about this. Have had a CT which shows numerous nodules in tummy. Due to meet with consultant on Monday.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I'm not a member of this group, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and previous treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Wishing you all the best with your upcoming appointment

  • Hi Brookie

I am sorry to hear that traces of cancer were found during your recent gallbladder surgery.

I can understand how worrying this must feel after your previous ovarian/uterine cancer.

These links may give you some information that will help.

I hope this helps a bit. Hopefully your appointment tomorrow will bring some clarification about what treatment may be needed.

In the meantime do give the Support Line a call if it would help to talk things through. They are there from 8am-8pm daily.

I wish you well for your appointment tomorrow.

  • Hi jane2511 thank you so much for replying and the very helpful info. I had my appointment today a pre op and an having a laparoscopy and biopsies taken on Wednesday.  Cannot get much more details until the results are back in about 10 days. They have only said I have a number of nodules on peritoneum and omentum and calcifications in pelvis.

  • Sounds like a normal length of time to get results back. Hopefully the biopsies will show the best way forward in terms of treatment.

Waiting is always tough and it can be hard to focus on much else so do give the Support Line a call if you need to.
