Hello there
ive just been diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer, it has spread to peritoneum. . I’m waiting for a treatment plan , just wondering if others have had this diagnosis and treatment?
feeling so emotional, so worried about the impact on my 2 daughters. Still feeling surreal and terrifying, thank you all brave ladies xx
Hi, was diagnosed just over a year ago stage 4 ovarian serous high grade. Had debukking surgery after much deliberation, had weekly chemo of carboplatin and pacitaxel followed by more after surgery. Now on Bevacizumab. When first diagnosed I thought it was the end of my life but a good plan and positive attitude allows me to respond to you today.
it’s terrifying, beyond terrifying initially but you honestly learn to cope and try to live your life the best you can. I’ve travelled a lot and I cherish every moment. I’m really well and grateful for that.
there are some truly amazing and inspirational people on this forum who can help guide you through their experiences
my thoughts and prayers are with you, stay positive ️

Hi, my wife was diagnosed just like you stage 4 just over 3 years ago. Absolutely terrifying times but we got through to the other side. Chemo, surgery, chemo then parp meds and now in remission. Try not to look too far ahead take it one day at a time,be positive, you can do this.
That’s really positive so pleased your wife did so well that’s really encouraging. Thank you for sharing this it has given me more hope .
Sorry, pressed Enter and previous message was sent.
I understand how stressful this is but please please remember that treatment is different for everyone. The type of treatment and how your body reacts to it. So I find that taking one day at a time, if you can, is best. The biggest challenge is to get as comfortable as you can with the constant unknown.
See what they offer you, which will differ from someone else depending on your health, age, specific cancer etc etc.
And really there is enough to take in each day. Plenty. Too much often.
I hope it goes well for you. Keep us posted - if you feel like it.
xx
