Consultant call tonight. He is wanting to do a fast track CT scan and biopsy.
He has suggested it pretty much and ovarian and they need to know what it is and check for the rest of my body too. Hence not MRI .
As i wasn't expecting the call I was a little unprepared and assumed he meant uterine biopsy ( hysteroscopy) but now I think he must have meant abdominal biopsy. I said no, I wouldn't have hysteroscopy without GA. Now I realise I've given wrong information. I will try to phone his secretary tomorrow morning to say i am happy to have abdominal biopsy without GA
He kept talking about Ovarian cyst being possibility, but I am sceptical. I have many risk factors , age ( 68) BMI around 26. Was warned I could be almost pre diabetic, HRT 28 years.
I have pain in my hip and continual headaches. I ve felt ill for a number of years and have lost around 5kls in last few months. I am always tired and feel ill. Now a lot of nausea.
Suspecting the worst.
At least I'm being dealt with fast now.
Awaiting Radiology letter for CT.
Hi again Cheekat
Am really pleased that the consultant called and is fast tracking you for the scan and biopsy.
I hope that you get some answers and a treatment plan very soon.
In the meantime we are here if you need anything.
