Hi
First of all, I’m not sure that anyone actually likes hospitals, so you are not alone in your feelings about that. And yes, it’s natural to be scared of results of any tests when referred under the 2ww, although such a referral does not automatically mean a cancer diagnosis.
Is your mri scheduled to happen before you have an appointment at the gynae clinic? You will remain fully dressed for the scan, with the only proviso being that you need to remove anything metal on your body, so if you wear a bra top without metal fastenings you would not need to take that off.
You are never in my experience required to be nude for any examinations. The staff will be very discreet and keep you covered during intimate examinations, but these, along with scans, are a very necessary part of the diagnostic process.
You’ve said you don’t want to go to the clinic, but I hope you will be able to muster the courage and strength to attend so that the medics can establish whatever is going on.
Sarah xx
