I saw the consultant yesterday. She told me I have a 5cm solid mass on my right ovary, and a 2cm fibroma in my left ovary. Apparently the right sided mass has some characteristics that are concerning and others that are less concerning. I'm not really sure what that means and I now wish I had asked. I know my CA125 levels were higher than normal so I'm guessing this is one of the concerning things. She said that it will be more than likely they will remove it, and my case will be discussed at the MDT meeting next Wednesday. I am trying to stay positive and am currently going with the thoughts of the odds being in my favour. Its definitely the waiting that's the worst thing.
Hi L22KV and welcome to the Online Community. We all agree here that the endless waiting to get results is soul destroying. Once they've had their MDT meeting though, they'll quickly outline your treatment plan and you'll feel less anxious. Adopting a positive attitude is also spot-on.
My cancer is different, but a cancer diagnosis of any kind makes us ask lots of questions, causes confusion, stress and probably emotions we’ve never experienced before. I see you've joined our Ovarian cancer group, this will be a good place to connect with others making the same type of cancer journey.
It’s always helpful to others if you write a little something (or a lot) about yourself and your journey to date. You can enter it into your profile (click on your username and select “Profile”) It’s helpful to other members with a similar diagnosis who can then hopefully answer your questions. It also means that you don't have to keep writing the same thing over and over. You can amend or update it at any time.
To find information covering diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers can be found on our Online Information and Support Section.
The Macmillan Support Services also offer lots of information, support, financial guidance or just someone to listen. It’s free to call 0808 808 0000. Most services are available 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week. Have a look by Clicking here to see what is available and we also have our Ask an Expert section, but do allow two to three working days for replies from our expert team.

Hi, sorry you find yourself here, but hope that others on this site can help keep your spirits up by sharing their own experiences.
I personally remember the early days of waiting for a diagnosis and treatment plan being some of the hardest on my journey. It’s natural to be anxious, but trying to stay positive is a great start - eating healthily and keeping active when you can is also a great way of preparing yourself for whatever surgery and/or treatments lie ahead. You’ll probably have a million and one questions going round in your head (I found it helped clear my head if I wrote them down to save for my consultant appointment) and, while these things remain outside your control, focussing on achieving some things you can control and/or enjoy (no matter how small) can help.
I hope, like me, you will start to feel more ready to deal with the next steps, one at a time, whatever they are, when your medical team have shared their plans with you. Keep faith with them, keep as well as you can, and keep in touch if you’d like to
love Bx
