I am 76 and just over half way through chemo.
I have been told that the best time to have the vaccine is 5 days before the next chemo.
I am somewhat nervous of having it while on chemo.
Has anyone had it yet, while on chemo?
If so, how did it go?
Hi Kasa2
I had the Oxford Covid vaccine 2 weeks ago, 4 days before my 2nd cycle of chemo. My Oncologist assured me that as it isn’t a live vaccine it’s perfectly safe to have while on chemo, and I personally experienced no side effects.
Hope that helps,
Love
