Kind regards

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

It's natural to be concerned when you're faced with treatment that includes having surgery.

I had not heard of DFSP so have had to 'google' it to find out what it was. According to SarcomaUK it's a rare form of sarcoma so it might be an idea to join the soft tissue sarcoma group to see if you can connect with others who are being treated for this. There is also one post in the skin cancer group that was posted 7 months ago so you might also want to join that group.

If you'd like to join either or both of these groups just click on the links I've created which will take you straight to the group where you can then join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
