Hi,
I have recently been diagnosed with lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma. After the initial shock I have decided that I am going to take a positive outlook. I am a single mum with two teenage sons, they need a mum who loves life, not a mum who is frightened.
shielding is no fun, but we are making the most of what we are able to do.
Gina
Hi Gina and welcome to the Community.
A Lymphoma diagnosis brings initial panic and your brain goes into overdrive but once you get clear information the storm between your ears will calm down.
Shielding has been an necessary evil...... a year ago tomorrow I got a random phone call from my GP warning me to ‘be careful and behave’..... and did.
There are few folks in the group with your type so let’s see if they are still looking in.
Clear information is important..... keep away from random Google searches.
Do check out Lymphoma Action, a small UK Lymphoma Specific Charity who have lots of information, videos and run regular regional online Lymphoma Zoom support groups and indeed a great Lymphoma Buddy Service.
