My mum finished treatment end of July last year it didn’t work so they on watch and wait as she’s 76, still in upper diaghram she seems better in herself, we are confused, she’s NOT in remission, just wondered how you can feel better in yourself and seen lot better than before
It’s an interesting question.
As you say her treatment did not work but it ‘may’ have had a positive effect on her growth area so possibly has given her some partial respite……. just thinking out loud here.
I was on regular treatment for my first 14 years and the treatment only gave me partial remission that lasted no more than 9 months before I went back on treatment.
I would also say that once I came off treatment there was a noticeable reduction of stress and this in itself makes you feel better and at the same time better in yourself….. again based on my experience.
