  • Hi   and a warm welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.

I don’t have Splenic Marginal Zone Lymphoma but I was diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Low Grade NHL (CTCL) eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.

The appointment will unpack your diagnosis and go through your treatment options. There are a number of treatments so they will offer the best one for how your condition is presenting.

The link below will help you get some questions together to ask on the day Questions to ask your medical team about Lymphoma

I have had a lot of treatment over my 23+ years but I turned  67 back in November and still living a great life (see my story in the link below)

Happy to answer any specific questions.

  • Hi Highlander

Thank you for your reply, I will of course click the link to try and prepare me bait better

  • You just need to remember that you are a passenger in this. My Specialist Cancer Nurse (SCN) told me early on “Some things are outside your control. Some things are within your control.…… Spending a little time figuring out the difference can help you feel more in control.
