Greetings All ,

My father’s treatment went well after when it was detected first time in 2017 and he stayed all well and healthy .he fought very well with the disease and maintained good healthy habbits .

This march the cancer came back and certainly it started affecting him rapidly .The worst part is that it came right before pendamic chaos .somehow i managed to deal with it . after a long process of almost 2 minths ,we got his first chemotherapy done 16 days back .They primarily used rituxmab 500 but he is not keeping well ,,reducing day after day ..stopped eating since last 3 days and barely have liquids.i do give him real juices somehow thrice a day as he gets very adamant .

we stopped his medicine as after taking medicines he passes blood in his waste .he is on bed from past almost 45 days .what is the chances as second chemotherapy is coming in 5-6 days but i don’t think he will be able to deal with it .The doctor says that he will put him on medicine if they don’t find him fit enough for the therapy.he is 75 amd in immense pain .i feel so sad seeing him in this state ..anyone got any clue for the outcome .

Regards

  • Hi and welcome to our little corner of the Community but sorry to hear about your dad and the challenges he is facing.

When all these medical issues combine together things are just that much harder to get under control.

I am assuming that you have told his team about him passing blood and stopping his meds? - if you have not, please do this immediately and even if it’s been a few days since you checked in with his team and things have deteriorated and his pain has got worse, again call his team.

As to the outcome - this is a question for his team.

Always around to help out as best as we can.
