Hi all hope everyone is doing well,just wanted to give you all a up date with my treatment.
I'm having my stem cell transplant treatment this week coming, as some of you may know I had my 2nd lot of chemotherapy this year and,it was decided that a stem cell transplant would be to my benefit.
So I've had all the test for the transplant, I've harvest my own cell's, so as I've mentioned I'm going in on the 5th September and,it's up a Derriford for 6 days,as I've been told,yesterday I had the chest line put in and,shortly I'm off to get it redressed.
I hope all goes well with the transplant and,I've got a few weeks in hospital I've been told

Hi and thanks for the update. Having been through two Stem Cell Transplants with cells from my brother I do understand where you are going and it is an unusual and for some, challenging experience but with great rewards.
Yes, you will be in your SCT Unit for a few weeks, I was in 4 weeks for both my SCTs.
You may want to join our dedicated Stem Cell Transplant Forum as you will connect with others who have been on this road. Go over and introduce yourself to the folks, it would also be good to mention what Conditioning your team are using to take your immune system down as we can help out with some first hand experience,
