Hi there. I am new to the site but not to Lymphoma I was first diagnosed 10 years ago. One of my post treatment issues is peripheral neuropathy ( nerve damage ) to the toes. I don’t want to go down the medication route. Has anyone tried reflexology or acupuncture. I don’t want to waste my money. Suggestions welcome.
Hi and welcome to our corner of the Community. I am Mike Thehighlander and help out on our blood cancer Forums.
Well done getting through your treatment but yes, some folks are left with long lasting issues.
I am coming up to 4 years post my last treatments although I have been on my Lymphoma journey since 1999.
The main thing I am left with is bad nerve damage (not PN) where my growth was in my neck as the growth grew around my nerves and has done irreparable damage that I will just have to live with.
I did have PN in both in my hands and feet, the feet cleared up after a few years but I still have some issues with my hands, I find winter is the worst time as I am doing less with my hands. I was given exercises by my Physiotherapist at the end of my second Stem Cell Transplant and they do help.
I did not ask other therapies available and would not now look for any further treatments but let’s look for any of the others come and help you out with their experiences.
I tried acupuncture to try to help with my nerve damage in my feet , I had about 8 sessions .i cant say it was completely successful, some weeks there was a improvement, didn’t last for very long so I stopped, my feet has improved, I think that it’s due to the passage of time more than the acupuncture

Hi Mike. Sorry for the late reply due to summer holiday. Thanks for your advice. I also find I am affected more in winter. Just hoping to find something helpful before the cold hits again.
