I had my six monthly check-up with my haematologist yesterday, the second check up since I finished my Rituximab in March 2018.  He was very pleased with my progress and advised that all my bloods were in the "normal" range.

So relieved!

    Hi Highlander

My haematologist introduced me to his new nurse as his wonder patient, who no one thought would make it, as I had really been through the mill with this horrible disease, but that I'm a fighter who had surprised them all!

When I asked when he thought it would come back he told me not to think like that and that some new studies in France showed that of  those who had their chemo, followed by the two years' Rituximab, 52% had passed the ten year mark with no recurrence!  My aim is to become one of those 52%!

Now looking forward to my Norwegian cruise in June!

Will do Highlander. I haven't been on here for a while as, as I previously mentioned, I was made redundant as at 31/12. after 32 years service!  So, I've been busy setting up my own Company!  Only need to work 4 days a month to earn what I earned in a month previously!  Nice to see it lining my pockets rather than somebody else's!

Great News! Power and positive mental attitude! So happy you're getting on with your living and the cruise sounds fab. You're one of the nearest case studies to me with the transformed, spinal meth, mother of 90 etc etc. Great that you can work for yourself and smarter, not harder. Best of luck to you xxx
