I was diagnosed last week with follicular lymphoma. I'm 59,divorced mom of 4 adult children. I have my first appointment with the hemotologist 1/31/23.
I found a lump in my upper right arm on the inside about an inch above my elbow, about the size of a big gumball. Ultrasound revealed it was vascular, 2 MRIs showed the mass with 3 smaller ones above it, MRI was inconclusive. Specialist orthopedic surgeon said the smaller masses were swollen lymph nodes. A needle guided biopsy was ordered and 3 core samples were removed from the large mass
I'm hoping to connect with others who have follicular lymphoma, And hear your stories of how it manifested and your treatment, and hopefully success stories.
Thank you
Hi Hopefully and welcome to the community.
Before I start giving you some information to help you out you may want join our dedicated Follicular lymphoma support group then copy and paste the text from here into that group.
This group covers the many many other types of NHL that we can’t have a group for.
I am taking a wild guess and thinking that you are not in the UK due to how you put 1/31/23 as your appointment date and using the word gumball
I will keep an eye open for you in the Follicular lymphoma group.
Hi,
Thanks for directing me to the correct grouo, just learning how to navigate this site! Yes, I'm not from the UK, was in London for the first time in December... I loved it.
Thanks again for your help!
Will keep an eye open for you in the FL group ((hugs))
