Hi, just wondering if anyone has had the Flyer protocol, so 4 R-CHOP followed by 2 cycles of just Rituximab? Have agreed with my consultant today to go for this, so tomorrow will be my 4th and final cycle of full chemo. Wondering how the side effects are with just the Rituximab. Feeling really positive, PET scan shows really good results.
Thanks.
Hi again Blackberry, so good to hear from you and to read that your PET shows a really good result.
I have not hear the term 'Flyer Protocol' used but there have been a few on this Community and more so in the Lymphoma Action Support Platforms have had the same or very close to this.
Rituximab is a Targeted Therapy so will be less toxic compared to your main chemo. Will you have any side effects?...... as you know it is completely different for everyone.
Like your R-CHOP I had Rituximab as part of my R-EPOCH...... over my 6 cycles I had over 750hrs of treatment and on the whole I had no real problems apart from the inevitable fatigue building up.
Let's look for you to have a smooth ride and for this to result in remission.
