Hi all, after just under 6 months, i am finally getting my surgery.
My MRI was rushed through, which i had last monday. On thursday, i had a phone call to book my pre-op. I had that on friday. Was amazed how thorough they were. I came home with bodywash, which i have to do every day, to kill any germs on my skin. I also have to put a cream up each nostril 3 times a day. This thursday i have to phone after 4.30pm to make sure i have a bed. Then a 2 hour drive if bed available. They will take more bloods on arrival to match for blood transfusion, i have to have another shower in the bodywash that evening. I am first on the list for surgery on friday morning. So another shower with bodywash before going down to theatre. So so frightened now. But at least im finally getting rid of this tumour!
Finally!!! Wishing you all the very best and an uneventful surgery and recovery. Will be thinking of you.
I also have my MRI scan report. They will be doing MDT tomorrow and to see me Friday to discuss plans.
I havent been told the results of my mri. I wish you all the best with your results and way forward. X
Lanreotide was started Thursday. I had unpleasant side effects from it but it’s getting better.
