Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation.
My partner had a Whipple's surgery 6 months ago to remove a nonfunctional PNET. The op went well and he has recovered really well (he’s only 34). He was told that the NET was a very slow growing one and had taken years to grow to the size it was. He had his first routine CT a month ago and was initially told he was all clear. However, out of the blue last week a consultant rang him and said that he needs to have an early scan in 3 months time due to a suspicious distant lymph node
Obviously now we are extremely worried. We don’t understand how a very slow growing cancer would suddenly grow somewhere else within 6 months time. The more I read about it the more worried I get, especially after losing my mom to cancer a few years ago. Also, if the node is suspicious why wait for three month to rescan. I guess I am just looking for some reassurance.
️Thank you and best wishes to all.
Kris
