Immunotherapy for high grade NETs

Hi, does anyone have any information or experience with immunotherapy to treat NETs?

I have read some articles relating to trials that have been conducted suggesting 44% response rate in high grade NETs using a combination of immunotherapy drugs, regardless of tumour origin.

This is of particular interest to me as I have multiple high grade NETs in my lymph nodes but of unknown origin. I'm told these are not curable and that I am also allowed only one course of chemotherapy to try and slow them.

My consultant says that this immunotherapy approach is not currently available on the NHS, so trying to find out if there are any UK based trials or even private options available.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm not a member of this group but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' your post back to the top of the discussion list where hopefully it'll be spotted by someone who has experience with immunotherapy.

As for any UK based trials, you could have a look on Cancer Research's website to look for clinical trials. Clicking here will take you straight there.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
