My mum is 67 years old and already been through so much-
now this …… she is still in shock and very angry about what is happening which is understandable. Me on the other hand I can’t stop crying - it’s only ever been me and my mum and she’s my everything. I have a 6year old who adores her and it’s now just been us three.
im not ready to say bye to my mum- I want to find out all I can and about all the treatments available-
she has neuroendocrine tumours in her neck and liver
has anyone successfully got through this without the operation (as they are saying they can’t operate)
I need some hope
Hi Samantha24 and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that your mum has recently had a cancer diagnosis and it's understandable that she's feeling angry and in shock. I can remember how shocked I felt when told.
I didn't have the same type of cancer as your mum so I can't help with your question about how she'll get on not having an operation. However, replying to you will 'bump' your post back to the top of the discussion list where it'll hopefully be seen by someone who can help.
I'm not sure from your post whether you are your mum's carer or not. If you are then can I recommend that you also join and post in the carers only group. If you're not your mum's carer then I think you'd benefit from joining the friends and family group. Whichever group you join I'm sure you'll find that they are safe and supportive places to discuss your worries and emotions with others who have someone they care about living with cancer.
It would be great if you could pop something about your mum's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

She started chemo Monday but had a bad reaction to her oral tablets on Tuesday and ended up in hospital- but she’s home now and doing ok x
how’s your mum and you coping x
Aw sorry to hear she had a bad reaction to the chemo. Is she up and about or in any pain?
There’s been no mention of chemo for my mum but they did mention a monthly injection but she’s not started anything yet as she has more tests later this week biopsy etc
