I have been waiting for an appointment I have to travel to Warwick from south yorkshire for a specialist scan apparently it's the only hospital which does the scan has anyone had one
Hi
I haven't had a scan, so can't help with your question, but I noticed that you hadn't had any response to your post yet. Replying to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be more easily spotted.
While you're waiting for replies if you type the name of the scan you're having, eg CT scan, MRI scan, etc, into the group search bar you'll see previous posts which mention it. You could have a read through some of these and reply to any of the more recent posts if you think the poster can help you further.
It would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi catz7
What is your specialist scan called?! Im having a Dotatate scan tomorrow in London and i live in Norfolk, 2hrs away. For me they will inject a small amout of radiation then i have an MRI to see if the radiation has attached to the tumour cells. If it does im likely to be suitable for further treatment if not my original diagnosis still stands.
Hi Alison30
Did you have your scan at St Thomas. I am waiting for an appointment for mine and am not sure whether to hotel it before and after. Travel for me will be 2 hours and have no idea how long the procedure will take. I do suffer with tiredness and would like to remain calm and collected for all my diagnostic treatments. I have had MRI's CT's, PET CT's and Octreotide scans and am hoping that the Gallium 68 is just more of the same.
How is your treatment going? I hope you are keeping well and staying cheerful throughout
Thanks GinnyC1
