Started first ever cycle of DVTD on 12/08, which I thought went well. Unfortunately I then picked up an infection, which they cannot source, and have been in hospital for the last 6 days. Still trying to get 48 hrs of normal temperatures before I can be released. Next two chemo dates delayed.
At this moment in time it seems a long journey ahead of me and I know they’ll be lots more of these bumps to navigate. I just didn’t expect it to happen so soon.
Thank you. Having a good sleep without being tested, bled, monitored etc will be great. How do people in hospital ever get better
My care has been amazing and so so thorough. In some ways cancer helped, as if I hadn’t just started the treatment wouldn’t have been treated so quickly and thoroughly,
thank you for your support
