Hi
I’m new here. My myeloma was diagnosed last February and I’ve been through chemo and immunotherapy- I’ve just got to the stage of starting stem cell therapy.. Fingers-crossed SCT will end early next year.
over the last 6 month I have developed pains in my back and neck and CT (and MRI) scans have shown lesions in the bones. What is the experience of others with bone lesions? Will they go away after the SCT and the myeloma has receded?
many thanks Nick
Hi Nicky. J. Kevin. Vespa here. I am MM pat just beg you on the journey cycle 4. dvtb. STC Planned for new year. MRI Picked up left hip lesions. My consu told me post STC. and remission the lesion will repair itself over a 6-12 month period. As the. Stem cells grow No guarantee but other treatments can help. I was walking with a limp for about a year before a blood test picked up the MM And then fast track onto the blood cancer path. Perhaps ask your STC Team also. Best wishes
