Hi everyone. My partner was diagnosed with plasmacytoma of the sinus area on 7th march. We were in ENTand the doctor said he had never seen this before, so we got a kind of garbled run down and then left bewildered. He was referred to Norwich team, and we got a call yesterday to say its been changed from ENT to haematology and he'll get a letter. So scared and confused right now. Has anyone else experienced this? All weve been told is that its rare. I dont know what to do next!
Hi Drhfer and a warm welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Blood Cancer groups.
I don’t have experience of Plasmacytoma but I have lived with a rare type of blood cancer for over 23 years so i understand your concerns.
It is known for patients diagnosed with a solitary plasmacytoma to 'possibly' go on to develop myeloma but let's look for any group member to pick up on your post who has experience.
All you can do is go see the Hematologist as they are the experts in all things blood and blood cancers.
