We are still trying to understand this condition , but he is now easily stressed , invested in some reality programmes …

it is a very weird world and a long way from our normal , is this temporary or permanent..

  • Hello I have finished my 4 cycles of treatment and it was very stressful and emotional it gets better as you go through the cycles and definitely better now I have finished for now, I hope this helps x

  • Hi Olive 13

I have Myeloma , you are so right this is a strange world of treatment that we are in .I am having Dara VTD treatment and just about to start my 4th cycle..I have found the emotional highs and lows very difficult to manage   A change of steroids has helped a bit ,started of on Dexamethasone but changed to Prednisolone a month ago ,still have emotional swings but not so severe  .

I hope this helps and wish you  and your husband well .

  • Hi Cakie hope you are ok, as I have said before I have finished my 4 cycles and have the date for my SC harvest. Have you a date for yours yet and been to see the consultant? It would be great to keep each other company as we are so close in cycle dates!! X

  • Hi Olive

I hope things are ok hopefully you and hubby are having a good day today although I know they are few and far between, for some reason I am not feeling good today very tearful and cried because my daughter is visiting she came last night and has just taken the dog for a walk, she said I will bath her when we come back and that set me off crying as that is something I am unable to do now. This is the main problem for me being unable to do things  I was fiercely independent and I am now totally reliant on everyone it is so frustrating. Please keep in touch we are in an extremely lonely place at the moment xxx

  • Hi Notgivingup , it's a tricky time of year for emotions isn't it without all the stress of dealing with treatment and illness .I saw the consultant yesterday and have a provisional date at end of January for my stem cell harvest so not long now . Please keep in touch and let me know how you are getting on  .

    Cakie
