Hi. I am 47 and have just been diagnosed with multiple myeloma . I will be having chemo in a few weeks and then a stem cell transplant. A bit nervous so would love some advice, tips .
Hi sunshine1 and a warm welcome to this corner of the Community although I am sorry to see you joining us and hear about the journey you are on.
I am Mike and I help out around our various Blood Cancer groups. I don’t have Myeloma but I was diagnosed way back in 1999 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (Stage 4) so although my Blood Cancer ‘type’ is different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well but not the specific chemo treatment you are on.
But I do know the Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) journey very well as I have had 2 Allo (donor) SCTs.
I see you have already joined our Stem cell transplant group so why not put up a post in that group as you will connect with others who have navigated the SCT rollercoaster.
I will keep an eye open for you in the group.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
