  1. Since my diagnosis in march i have had a sore right shoulder with a small lump appearing over the summer.  Over the last couple of weeks the lump forming on my right clavicle has got a lot bigger, it's now very swollen and Sore, consultant saw it last Monday and got me an urgent CT  scan for last Friday. I'm now waiting the results but i suspect it's the myloma spreading from my bone marrow. I believe the name is  plasmacytoma. I don't know for certain yet. Just had 12 weeks of chemo so I was hoping - naively- things would be better now. It is going to delay my stem cell harvest and treatment as well I suspect. Has anyone had experience  of these tumours? Thanks
  • Yes. I had a plasmacytoma on my left clavicle which involved a couple of my upper ribs.   This was how I presented with Myeloma in fact.   The tumour responded to the chemo I was on eventually. Hope yours does soon too.

  • Thanks for your reply corncrake, the lump more or less disappeared in the middle of my chemo  but has got worse over the last couple of weeks. My last chemo was a week ago - 3rd lot of 4th cycle.  So I'm expecting to a new lot of chemo, which will delay my SCT , but if it gets rid of the lump that's fine. I will update as when on the forum.  Thanks again for replying.

  • Fingers crossedhope to hear that you get rid of that and that you can go ahead with your SCR .  I am too old for SCR!   All the best to you HuggingThumbsup
