Hi My wife had her first round of Valcade, Dexa, and Thalidomide last week and today had a blood test ahead of her treatment tomorrow. However, she had a call from the hospital this afternoon saying that her neutrophils was low and not to come into treatment tomorrow. Has anyone had this in their treatment so early on?
Thanks
Matthew
Hi Matthew,
Sorry you’ve not had a reply. I’ve had problems with low neutrophils, but that was after stem cell transplant rather than induction treatment. I think if it’s a small delay, it’s perfectly fine, I know I missed a week of induction treatment as I had a holiday booked, and that was no problem, so hopefully your wife will be absolutely fine too. How is she doing now?
Greg
