Hi there, just thought I’d give you an update on my Opdualag treatment. This week I had my 24th treatment and now only two more until I finish the treatment. Regular scans have shown no tumours in my head, which was where the melanoma was first diagnosed, and the few suspicious lymph nodes have all reduced in size. So, to paraphrase my Oncologist’s comment, “it shows the treatment is working.” No serious side effects and I’ve managed to cope with occasional fatigue and breathlessness. I’m still able to do my 4 to 5 hours of moderate exercise each week, which, since last August, now includes “Walking Football”, which I’m really enjoying and meeting some new like-minded individuals. Our small gardening group for our estate communal garden has just restarted for the season, and, as I am a passionate gardener, I’m looking forward to many more active sessions. Although I must confess I do look forward to the half-time coffee break for a much needed sit down and a good natter with friends and neighbours. I remain positive and am a great believer that exercise brings so many benefits. With grateful thanks to our wonderful NHS doctors and nurses.
