I‘ve just had a wide local excision in my upper left arm three days ago after having the melanoma removed back in August. Not sure if you’ve already had the mole excised and your next surgery is the wide local excision or whether this surgery is your first? I found keeping myself busy was the best thing until the surgery came around. I was more worried about the wide local excision than the first excision but so far I’m doing a lot better than I thought and I think actually better than the first time around. Thank you for your encouraging words. I had the mole removed in September and its a stage 2, 1.6mm melanoma. The wider excision and lymph node removal is on 8th nov. I also have a melanoma on my back but they're not sure if they can do all 3 ops at the same time.
