My insurance company have refused to cover me for anything connected to Melanoma and for 2 other pre existing conditions that they had covered me for in the past! Does anyone have any recommendations of companies that will cover this - I am going to the US with the family in August so this is an urgent issue for me - which doesn't help when I have my second operation coming up in 2 days. Thanks

I'm sorry to read that your existing travel insurance company will no longer cover you and, as you say, you could do without the stress of trying to sort out holiday insurance when you're about to have an operation.
I used payingtoomuch.com last year to cover me (melanoma) and my husband's pre-existing medical conditions but there are lots of other specialist travel insurers.
I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you join us over in the travel insurance group which is a great place to look for recommendations. Once you've joined look for the thread called 'recommended travel insurance' as that's where you'll find the majority of recommendations all in one place.
