Hi I have just come home from the telederm clinic. I had photographs of the mole taken and I asked to look at the photo which was taken under the microscope. I am 99% certain that this will be said to be a suspected melanoma and it will need to be removed. It is making me feel stressed as I am worried that the waiting times for removal will be long, and this is concerning as the first line of treatment is the removal of the melanoma,
Let us know how he gets on when his photos are taken and assessed.

Will do. A friend of mine who has another cancer has just been diagnosed with a malignant melanoma also x
How did your results go? I hope all was fine. Had my mole removed today, and am now waiting for results which I have been told will be 4 to 6 weeks time. X
Hi Ilse
Thanks for asking after me Thankfully, the suspected BCC on my chest was confirmed as a BCC but it's all been removed so I don't need any further treatment. The suspicious mole on my back turned out to be a slightly abnormal mole so no treatment needed there either!
When I had my recent biopsy excisions I was told up to 6 weeks for results but they came back in 4 weeks. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that yours come back quickly and that no melanoma is found.
