Hi all,
I have a history of malignant melanoma (2021 -stage 1a), I now have a clear mole where a brown normal mole was and a new clear mole about 5mm away from it. The last dodgy mole I had was classic symptoms, change in colour and ragged edges so I'm unsure if a clear mole should be checked out? Are disappearing moles normal?
Also of note, I am awaiting a CT scan of chest/abdomen/pelvis give symptoms of weight loss, poor appetite, fatigue, leg weakness and sore on my tongue - standard set of bloods were all within normal range.
Hi Loza87 and a very warm welcome to the online community
My melanoma was an amelanotic melanoma which isn't the 'classic' looking mole but pale pink in colour.
Given your history of melanoma, in your shoes I'd give your SCNS a call tomorrow and let them decide if you need to see your consultant. I've had to do this on a couple of occasions, thankfully each time it was nothing, but my consultant always used to remind me at my check-ups that if I was at all concerned about anything new to ring the SCNS.
Let us know how you get on
Aww unfortunately I'm back in Scotland, my melanoma was diagnosed in England so will need a derm appointment so will arrange to see GP asap!
Many thanks for your reply, I just didn't want to waste anyone's time if it was nothing
