I’ve not that long be diagnosed with stage 1 skin cancer and I’m so scared and very worried on what is going to happen next
Hi Angel2 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read about your recent diagnosis and I know what a shock it will have been for you.
It's natural to be scared and worried about the next step in your treatment but hopefully we can answer any questions you might have. I'm assuming that you're having a wide local excision (WLE) and maybe a sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB). The latter depends on the depth of your melanoma. I've had both of these ops and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the procedures.
When you feel ready it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
