Hello everyone,
just a question...... over the last 24 hours I’ve been having a dull ache/light pain in my arm pit and slightly down the inside of my upper arm..... the arm with where my mole was removed last month.
I was diagnosed on the 4th but no follow up appointment yet.... is it possible the lymph’s are swollen or am I just thinking too much???
Hi Spanielmumma, I’m hoping that your dull ache/light pain has stopped. I might have said before in another post that my last scan showed up 4 lymph node areas that were bigger than normal, only one of which I could feel myself and as the weeks have gone on, that one is very visible, but my scan to measure how much it’s grown is next week. Lymph nodes when cancerous don’t normally hurt unless they press on a nerve but they do get harder and bigger. Of course not every enlarged lymph node is cancer it can just be the normal action of dealing with an infection. If you’ve been given the telephone number of a specialist nurse they can chase up your awaited next appointment and they will ask how your feeling I bet they will then feel your lymph nodes and show you how to check them yourself. You may well be over thinking it, as I am not sure if I can occasionally feel something on my left side where I’ve been told a lymph node was bigger on my last scan but won’t fully know if it’s resolved itself til I get my scan results. My right side is very obvious that it hasn’t shrunk and will need action but just feel uncomfortable at times as it’s just where the crease is between my body and my leg. I don’t think my experience will help really, as my waiting is not usual and it’s because I uniquely have lymph nodes that are cancerous but because of the amount of immunotherapy I have had often up until now have resolved themselves. For others I always think it’s good to flag things up to your team and let them discount things or investigate further.
Spanielmumma whilst waiting on my ct scan i had myself absolutely convinced there was swollen nodes in my groin and under my arm. The pain was there and they felt tender ….. soon as I got the all clear from the ct scan I have never felt that pain . So for me it was my head playing tricks in me and me overthinking far too much x
Hi I'm new on here , was told I had a melanoma just over a month ago , after a ct scan, was told one of my nymph glands was slightly swollen leading to a ultra sound and biopsy last Friday..im also having or think I have this dull ache in my groin, I have not had any results yet but also feel I'm over thinking so you are not on your own .
