After a year of hell last year and my daughter finally getting the all clear in September but had a full body scan in December as she had terrible pains in her face which came back all clear (probably nerve pain from the op and skin graft)- we thought we could all breath again. But no. Now she’s discovered a new mole near her groin. Can’t believe we’re going through all this again

Hi 195600qdg, welcome but sorry to see you back. I reminded myself of your posts in December, when you were very anxious about your daughter and the length of wait for results, as you said you’d had previous brushes with cancer. I’m thinking back to my recurrence and how disappointing it was, but that in some ways it was easier as I’d been through it before, and knew what to ask and expect.

How are you feeling ?

I can’t remember how old your daughter is and if she lives with you? In these Covid times that has a greater impact on how we feel as well. As you know carers and relatives are very welcome in this group but there is also support from the perspective of being a carer or a friend or relative in two other groups as well. I am being treated for advanced melanoma and it feels a bit different going in for treatment and scans on my own now, not worse or better just a bit different. I hope it helps to get your feels out here.
