I'm starting Immunotherapy in January for a Melomena on my left arm. This has been completly removed and I'm having WLE and SNLB in Jan too. PET scan was clear. I'm worried about the side effects, colitis, liver damage, thyroid etc and am wondering how rare/common they are and wondering if there is anything I can do with diet or supplements to reduce the chances
Hi Essexgirl200
I didn't have immunotherapy for my melanoma, so don't have any direct experience to offer, but I do know that there are lots of people in the group who are having/have had it.
If you could let me know the name of the immunotherapy that you'll be having I could search the group to find others on that regime to link you with.
Wishing you all the best
I completed 27 months immunotherapy for metastatic melanoma that ended one year ago. Last month’s petscan was clear. I’m 75. I suffered no side effects apart from losing my thyroid function that is easily replaced by one daily pill. I had ipilimumab and nivolumab. Dont be afraid. Do it - because it’s better than dying from melanoma. You have to fight it. Good luck. I worked hard at keeping my biome healthy. There is sound evidence that biome supports immunotherapy. Read Michael Moseley and Tim Spector for diet advice.

Thank you.. I am struggling that I'll be watching for this for the rest of my life but I'm only 6 weeks in so it's early days
