Hi all just after some advice my SLNB was positive what should I expect next? I keep reading that some people have all of their lymph nodes removed. The SLNB was in my groin. I have had a CT so waiting the results from that too. Thanks
I am having all mine removed in armpit next week. But they said I am an unusual case in the fact that they do not know for definite that the cancer has spread. The lymph nodes showed up on the ct scan and pet scan but they did not get anything when they tried a biopsy under ultrasound. But they said based on the size of my melanoma and the scans more likely to be melanoma than not and that is why they want to remove my lymph nodes when I have my wide excision next week.
