Feeling a bit low

Hi all. I had endometrial cancer in 2017 which recurred in the pelvis this last February 2022. I had radiotherapy and chemo for 5 weeks and then found out in July it's spread to my lungs...

I've just had my second round of chemo last week and feel awful! I can't explain other than bone tired and very spaced out. I've also had bad pains in my feet which sorted through stronger pain killers. My hair is also falling out now in big handfuls. Deep joy!!

I've just read what I've put and I sound really moany, sorry! I suppose what I'm trying to find out is if others feel the same. So tired that they have to sit down when they do something or have to stay in bed like I'm doing today...

Hope you're all doing okay out there.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that the chemotherapy you're having is making you feel so tired. I assume you've phoned your chemo unit and explained this as I'm sure they'll do anything they can do to help if they're anything like mine.

I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies from the other group members so I thought I'd suggest that you also join and post in the womb (endometrial) cancer group which has people undergoing chemotherapy whom I'm sure will be willing to share their experiences with you.

If this is something that you'd like to do, clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you can then join and start a new post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
