For those having treatment I wish you well, for those first diagnosed I feel your terror, my scans tomorrow will tell if those 20 sessions of radiotherapy worked there magic or not..just have to tough it out until the 29th see the specialist..as it's the only treatment available for me I can but pray..I believe we all in the hands of the lord so prayers for us all....xx.
Thank you. Hinny ..I hope so to... .and for you .and all the lovely souls that have been struck with this awful disease...hugs and prayers..xx
Hi there I've only just joined and I'm not even sure what to write.
I've had chemo earlier in the year and had 12 sessions of radiotherapy just finished 3 weeks ago.
I'm waiting for my consultants appointment. It's such a long wait inbetween everything but I know there are a lot of us around.
They do a great job.
Good luck with your scan tomorrow I'll keep everything crossed for you.

Hi forever hopeful 1, and welcome to our group.
The waiting in between scans, and results is always a stressful time. As you have not long finished your radiotherapy it might still be a while until you have a scan. As you probably know, the radiotherapy continues to work it’s magic for several weeks after treatment has finished. That also means that side effects might not develop until after treatment has finished. For me I was just extremely tired, and my wind pipe felt sore, which also made it difficult to eat. Hope you are doing ok.
Good luck for your scan tomorrow Maggie xx
Hi chellesimo
Thanks for your reply. I've just got over the side effects. I had about three weeks of very sore esophagus (?) Every time I swallowed even my tablets I take, it also played up my hiatus hernia which didn't help. With a bit of help from my doctor and extra tablets I've come through the other side thank goodness.
Just hoping after all that it will prolong the return of it !
The tumor had shrunk even before radiotherapy the consultant thought I'd benefit from it and treated my spine as well.
Just keeping everything crossed as we all do for good results.
Thanks for writing and listening to me.
All the best to you too.
