I don’t know stage or cancer type as I am Still in testing phase
im so scared
Hi, so sorry to hear this, the waiting for results is really hard. You don't know what/where, the treatment needed etc but with me my mind just went to worst scenario which doesn't help! Had to work at distracting myself with going out, doing things, seeing friends etc to calm anxiety.
Hope you have diagnosis soon, remember that treatment has improved so much in recent years, wishing you all the best.
I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling so scared - I remember well the few days before I received the formal diagnosis and stage - and I was told that there would be a treatment plan. Once you know what treatment your specialists have planned, things become much easier - there is hope. Wishing you many strongs and lots of patience for the next few days and weeks.
Hi scared and alone! , I know how you are feeling, I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, 9 months after having a dibilitating rash. Facing your worst fears can be a very tricky process, but the most important thoughts I clung on to was and still is, write down 5 positive things in your life, know you are loved, you are not alone, and to know there are some amazing cancer treatments, Im 69, i have chosen quality of life rather than quantity. I'm on my 2nd cycle of immunotherapy. I keep my mind and body active. Each day is special, your strength lies with in you.
I also reflect on a life I've had, unlike the little ones and their parents who may never have a life.
I consider myself fortunate. You can turn your thinking around, your life will be what it will be, conserve your energy, and know you will be offered the best treatment for you. I hope this helps thking of you Clara
